I have always been inspired by creation, the way things work, & the art of expression. The search for a deeper and more meaningful understanding of my world has kept me creatively "itching" from a young age. The idea of creating an object that will outlive me & have another life; outside of me, is possessing. I learned to manipulate metal in college under the prominent metalsmith, Allison Pack. Since then, I moved to California to pursue graduate school for Clinical Forensic Psychology. My friends convinced me to sell my jewelry, which originally started a pleasure project. I discovered the name "Chetane" in Paris. Chetane is French slang for the free spirit, not faint of heart, someone who follows where the night leads them. My work is a means of expression, exploration, & an embodiment of those things I treasure most.
